Sign below to ask Superintendent Shelley Berman of the Eugene School District to oppose guns on school property.
Currently we are at 13 signatures out of our goal of 100
Last fall, the Oregon Court of Appeals invalidated a longstanding ban against people with concealed handgun licenses (CHLs) bringing concealed weapons on college campuses. This has caused some extremists to attempt to force hidden, loaded weapons into our elementary and high schools.
We're asking Superintendent Berman to stand with us in opposing any policies that allow guns on our school campuses. We also ask him to support policies like the one the State Board of Higher Education issued in March prohibiting the possession of firearms by students, employees, contractors, event attendees, and users of university property.
Sign below and show Superintendent Berman that the people of the Eugene School District care about the safety of the students, faculty, and staff of our schools.

Superintendent Berman,
I, like you, care about the safety of the students, faculty, and staff of Eugene School District 4J.
I am asking you to forbid school visitors from bringing hidden weapons into Eugene classrooms.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this manner. We appreciate your leadership.
